Repatriation assistance cover: the travel insurance


BASIC COVER:

  • assistance, medical, hospitalisation and repatriation costs.

EXTENSIONS ACQUIRED WITHOUT FORMALITY:

  • No age limit for the cover.
  • Cover period between 3 days and 1 year renewable.
  • Some countries which are not part of the Schengen area (see table below).

OPTIONAL COVER:

  • Family civil liability.
  • Refund of visa costs in case of refusal by the embassy or consulate.
  • Validity period extended by 15 days according to regulation (EC) n° 810/2009 from the European parliament.

All this cover complies with all the requirements imposed by the Schengen agreements.

Standard

Duration of stay: 3-365 days renewable.

Countries covered: Schengen Zone, DOMs, COMs, Andorra, Monaco, Saint Marin, the Vatican, Ireland, United Kingdom.

Medical and hospitalisation costs: €35,000

Assistance - Repatriation: Actual costs

Search and rescue fees: €700

Extension of stay: Yes

Funeral repatriation: €3,500

Sending of medication in Europe: Actual costs

Legal assistance: €762

Sending of urgent messages: Actual costs

Excess on medical costs: €80 (Except in the event of an accident)

Excess on private civil liability: €80

Refund of the insurance premium if your visa is refused: Yes (optional)

Contribution towards visa application costs in case of refusal: Up to €50 (optional)

Private civil liability (personal injury and consequential loss): €3,000,000 (optional)

Multi-Trip

Duration of stay: Unlimited number of trips during the year with each trip lasting a maximum of 90 days.

Countries covered: Schengen Zone, DOMs, COMs, Andorra, Monaco, Saint Marin, the Vatican, Ireland, United Kingdom.

IMPORTANT: In the case of  visa refused, the downpayment for the cost of the visa and the insurance premium will not be refunded if the reason for refusal is that the passport, at the time of application, expires within 3 months of the return date. In addition, written proof of refusal issued by the consulate or the embassy must be provided when requesting reimbursement.
